A Positive Approach to Change
Coaching Using A Different Approach To Behavior Modification
My objective is to help the individual and increase awareness of their inner strengths, increase self-esteem, confidence, and self-efficacy, to help the client to understand self, not others. However, this understanding of self will enable the client to interact with others more successfully, it is not the main objective of the coaching, and assisting the client to self-actualize is the focus of this program.
The Locus of Control is a 13 item questionnaire developed by Rotter (1966). It measures generalized
expectancies for internal versus external control of reinforcement. People with an internal locus of control believe that their own
actions determine the rewards that they obtain, while those with an external locus of control believe that their own behavior
doesn't matter much and that rewards in life are generally outside of their control. Scores range from 0 to 13. A low score
indicates an internal control while a high score indicates external control. To take The Locus of Control Test

There are individuals who make un-wise decisions, they are angry, unhappy and are influenced by their immediate environment, families and friends who discourage instead of encourage, and individuals who refuse to even try to achieve because they feel it will not make a difference. If you recognize yourself in either or all of the categories; A Positive Approach to Change is the program for you.
I fervently believe that an individual should not be pushed by their circumstances, socioeconomic status, or social status, but be led by their dreams. A Positive Approach to Change will help promote a positive outlook, it will renew hope. Altering outcomes by changing what we think, positive thoughts can lead to positive outcomes, increase self-esteem and self-worth. Learn how to smile again.
